Following the TRIUMF User Group Annual General Meeting (AGM) this year during TRIUMF’s Science Week 2019, we had discussions at TRIUMF about Target Module (TM) strategies (as presented during the talks there), new developments, and alternative and additional ways to improve beam delivery for the users at ISAC. One outcome of this discussion is that we are organizing this open workshop on TMs and the above topics, including improved low-energy beam transport, beam developments, etc. The new concepts will be discussed and we also plan to invite some subject matter experts to get detailed feedback. The workshop will also provide opportunities for the Physical Sciences Division and the Accelerator Division to present details on past performances, like the number of delivered shifts/hours, the number of completed/scheduled experiments, etc., but also the number of experiments (shifts) on the books that require certain conditions (like TM high voltage), etc. In addition, we will provide an opportunity to look at details of the so-called strawman schedule for next year (2020), and discuss alternatives. In general, there will be ample opportunities for discussions. We have reached out to the TRIUMF User Group who are supporting this workshop and who will help facilitate questions and comments from the community. To register to attend in person or to participate remotely, please send an e-mail to sciencediv@triumf.ca. Thank you. We are looking forward to having you here and the discussions that will follow.
